How to Use the Book ‘What To Do When Your Child Gets Sick’: A Train-the-Trainer Session

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
IHA’s flagship book, What To Do When Your Child Gets Sick, has been proven to reduce missed school and work days and unnecessary emergency room visits for those families that read and use the book. To supplement the book’s easy-to-use, easy-to-read format, this train-the-trainer session will help educators work with families to utilize this book to better care for their children.  Attendees will learn how to use this book with their families in order to replicate and expand on the positive results of the health education method.
Objectives:
  • Understand at least 1 health literacy tool to work effectively with low literacy adults.
  • Practice how to use the book with families to care for their child and avoid unnecessary emergency room visits.
